Peppers, vegetables, melons and ground provisions grown in Crochu. Healthy seedlings for other growers, too.
We plant through the year so there is always something coming ready. Message us to ask what's in this week.
Our main crop. Firm, glossy peppers picked at the right colour for kitchens and markets.
Crisp heads and leaves cut close to collection, so they keep longer in the fridge.
Everyday basics for salads, stews and oil down, grown in rotation for steady supply.
Sweet, heavy melons for homes, juice stands and hotel breakfast tables.
Ground provisions that take their time. Sweet potato comes first; yam and ginger follow later.
Planted along the edges of the farm. A slow crop, but a reliable one once established.
Every crop keeps its own clock. This is roughly how long each one spends on the farm before it's ready.
Times run from planting to first harvest in normal weather. Rain, dry spells and pests can shift them by a few weeks.
Our nursery raises vegetable seedlings for other farmers and backyard gardeners.
Good planting material is one of the hardest parts of starting a crop. We grow strong, even seedlings in trays so they take quickly once they go in the ground. Buy a few for the yard or a full tray for your beds, and we'll tell you what's ready now and when the next batch is due.
Find us at the Saturday markets in Grenville and St. George's, or order ahead and collect.
Set up a regular weekly order. Tell us your quantities and we plan our planting around them.
Graded, consistent produce for shelves and vegetable stalls. Ask about volumes.
Healthy vegetable seedlings, raised in our own nursery and ready to plant out.
Viking Farms is a family farm at Felix Park, in the hills above Crochu, run by Randy and his son Alston.
Randy spent years working in Norway, where he learned to grow under glass in a short northern season. The name Viking Farms comes from that time. Now he and Alston are putting that experience to work in Grenada's year-round sun.
Grenada still buys in much of the fresh produce it eats. We think more of it should come from our own soil. So we farm a small piece of land intensively, in well-tended beds, and plant in stages so supply stays steady through the year.
Pick what you need and we'll put the message together. It opens in WhatsApp, ready to send.
Please call or message before you visit so someone is at the farm to meet you. Larger orders need a few days' notice.
